“X-Men: Apocalypse” Set To Hit Cinemas In 2016
“X-Men: First Class” set the perfect stage for the upcoming mutant film “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”, an upcoming film directed by Bryan Singer who recently tweeted that the third installment titled “X-Men: Apocalypse” would be released in 2016. Now while the tweet itself was very simple and not that direct or specific for that matter, it might have revealed something that true X-Men fans were quickly able to understand. That being the “Apocalypse” part of the tweet, which could mean that the film might have an apocalyptic theme, or it might mean that Bryan Singer was hinting at Marvel’s character Apocalypse.

In the Marvel comics, Apocalypse is an ancient powerful mutant who has battled with the X-Men on more than one occasion, even killing a number of X-Men in a certain universe, including Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm. The simple thought of having multiple characters killed by the ultimate mutant that is Apocalypse, seems like a solid idea if that was what Bryan Singer intended with the tweet, the involvement of the character Apocalypse.
Now while very little is still known about “X-Men: Apocalypse”, considering that “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” is next up, we will surely get more information in regards to the film once “Days of Future Past” hits theaters later this year.
