Mortal Kombat´s poster boy Scorpion teleports to the realm of DC Universe, where he will yet again come face to face with some of the most powerful heroes and villains ever to appear in comic books. Now while many may have forgotten, Scorpion and the rest of the Mortal Kombat characters, did face the DC heroes and villains in the 2008 video game “Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe”. Now while the game itself was hardly impressive, the story was quite brilliant, as it mixed the two franchises together near perfectly. Now it seems as if Scorpion will appear in Netherrealm Studios´ latest DC video game “Injustice: Gods Among Us”, as a DLC character. Not only that but Scorpion has had a complete makeover, as his outfit and overall appearance was altered to fit the game. While not everybody might like the new hooded design, it is safe to assume that fans of Mortal Kombat everywhere are happy as all hell to see that the “Get over here!” yelling Scorpion made his way into a DC video game.
“Injustice: Gods Among Us” was released in April/June earlier this year, developed by NetherRealm Studios, published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and directed by Ed Boon. The video game run on the Unreal Engine 3, with music composed by Dean Grinsfelder. “Injustice: Gods Among Us” was released for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360 and iOS. Scorpion is the third DLC announced so far, with the first being Lobo and the second being Batgirl.
