It looks as if “Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo” is doing incredibly well in Japan at the moment. With over 2.5 million tickets sold as the movie is earning more than double of what “Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance” earned.

The fourth film titled “Evangelion: Final” will be the final film of the “Rebuild of Evangelion” movie series.

Release Dates (Japan)

“Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone” –
September 1, 2007

“Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance” – June 27, 2009

“Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo” –November 17, 2012

“Evangelion: Final”

“Evangelion 2.0″
was released two years after the first film and “Evangelion 3.0″ hit theaters three years after 2.0. Even though the exact release date is difficult to predict, I feel that we will be seeing “Evangelion: Final” sometime in 2014/2015. While the Rebuild of Evangelion movies have been phenomenal so far, it is safe to say that the expectations will be very high for the final film.
