The highly anticipated debut trailer for “Batman: Arkham Origins” pits The Caped Crusader against The Terminator. The action-packed trailer also shows off Black Mask, who is a longtime enemy of Batman as well as one of the most prominent figures in Gotham City´s organized crime, and Deadshot, who is a hired assassin known for rarely missing when firing a weapon. The incredibly well created trailer does not only show off new characters but it gives a great taste of what to expect from the third installment in the Batman: Arkham series.
After Rocksteady Studios developed “Batman: Arkham Asylum” and “Batman: Arkham City”, it is safe to say that the change in developers came as a surprise, as “Batman: Arkham Origins” is being developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal. The studio was founded only three years ago, and it is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. While new, they developed the “Batman: Arkham City” (Armored Edition) for the Wii U back in 2012, meaning that “Batman: Arkham Origins” will be the first game to be developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal for all available platforms. Even though the change in the developers, the game will still run on the same engine as the previous installments in the series, the Unreal Engine 3.
“Batman: Arkham Origins” is set to be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and the PC, on October 25, 2013.
